Flat Paige goes to Kansas
Hi, My name is Flat Paige. I have gone to Kansas to visit my Mimi and Papa. They live in Marysville. To get to Kansas--
- 1. Go north from Frisco.
2. Go through Oklahoma.
3. Go all the way through Kansas.
4. Stop just 10 miles from Nebraska.
5. You are now in Marysville.
On my first day in Marysville, I went with Mimi to see my great-grandma and great grandpa. Here they are. Do you see me? They also live in North Carolina. It is on the east coast of the U.S. by the Atlantic Ocean. I went swimming in the Atlantic Ocean when I lived in New Jersey.
On my second day in Kansas(the Sunflower State), I went to High School with my Mimi. She is a librarian like Mrs. Wilson here at Bledsoe. Here is her picture with me checking out books to her students. They love to read. My favorite book is Flat Stanley.
Jimmy and I are shelving books for my Mimi, Mrs. Talbot

My cousin Wade helps my Mimi with the computers. I got to help also.
My Mimi teaches a class in Library Skills. Her students welcome me to class.
They are a very fun class. I giggled with the girls.
Third day in Kansas.
My Papa has a pinched nerve (ouch) in his back. He goes to the hospital for physical therapy. Here I am helping the physical therapist hook him up to some machines to make him better. I love my Papa very much.
This is the truck that Papa had an MRI taken in. It took 1 hour to take his MRI.
He has to go to Nebraska to see another doctor.
This sign says "Nebraska ...the good life". My mommy was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, which is the state capital. You can't see me because the grass was too tall. I like to go to the Children's Zoo in Lincoln. It has a train around it and ponies you can ride.
Here is the hospital where my Papa is having an operation. I hope he gets better soon. Mimi helped me take this picture.
My Papa is talking to me on the telephone. I was too little to go in the hospital. That is his nurse Sheena.
Now we are home and I am sitting on Papa's lap. He is getting better after his back surgery. Yeah!!! I love my Papa very much.
